Carole Starr To Speak At March 2 BIANYS Meeting

We have a real treat for you for March – during National Brain Injury Awareness month – a special speaker!

Carole Starr is a brain injury survivor, national keynote speaker, author of the award-winning book To Root & To Rise:  Accepting Brain Injury and the founder/facilitator of Brain Injury Voices, a nationally recognized survivor volunteer group in Maine. Carole will be speaking on the topic of Moving Forward with Brain Injury.  After her presentation, there will be plenty of time for Q  & A with Carole.

Her book has been described as: “Long-term brain injury survivor Carole Starr offers gentle encouragement, hard-won wisdom, and numerous strategies that survivors, caregivers, and professionals can use.”  You can purchase a signed copy of her book on her website at: StarrSpeakerAuthor.com

You won’t want to miss this – let’s try to get a nice Zoom crowd for Carole, so please invite anyone & everyone you can think of! She is a remarkable speaker. Attached is a flyer with the Zoom link which you can forward. I challenge each of you to bring a friend, family member, or professional to join us on March 2nd. If you haven’t made it to one of our Chapter meetings yet, this is the one you should put on your calendar to attend. I guarantee you will find her presentation helpful, interesting and inspiring.

We also encourage you to join BIANYS as a member during the month of March as we “Go Blue” for brain injury awareness. Your investment in BIANYS helps the entire NY Brain Injury community. In numbers we have strength. If you have any questions on BIANYS membership, please call us at 518-459-7911.
