Wells Christie Rolfing® Wins Prestigious “Excellence in Health Care” Award

Wells Christie Rolfing® is honored to have won in the Innovations in Health Care category of BizEventz’ Excellence in Health Care 2016 awards. This annual awards event recognizes Central New York’s top health-care industry leaders, innovators, and companies that have a significant impact on the quality of health care and services in our community. Awards were presented at an evening gala and awards presentation event, October 20 at The Lodge at Welch Allyn in Skaneateles, New York.
“I am humbled by this recognition, which reflects my deep commitment to helping clients achieve overall wellness, and it means a great deal to be distinguished in this way,” stated Mr. Christie, whose therapy doesn’t just mask symptoms; rather, he reduces or eliminates a wide range of dysfunction, holistically and noninvasively.
One of almost 2000 Certified Rolfers™ in the world, Christie’s instruments are his hands, and his elbows. “Rolfing®,” the original form of structural integration (SI), is a profound holistic system of body manipulation, which addresses constrictions within the fascial network. Rolfing® SI is not about relaxing muscles. Each session in the Rolfing® Ten Series builds synergistically on the last, reorganizing connective tissue, unwinding deeply rooted patterns of tension and guiding the body back into proper alignment in relation to gravity, often erasing decades of constriction.

Christie regularly pursues additional certifications, adding complementary modalities to his toolbox, integrating his varied expertise into treatments to achieve long-term healing. Simultaneously, he draws upon his extensive knowledge of anatomy to mentor clients, whom he acquaints with body parts they didn’t know existed and complimentary movement education, while giving clear instructions to help achieve their goals most promptly and effectively.
He possesses an uncanny ability to pinpoint and connect to underlying issues and reduce or eliminate them, achieving stellar results in comparison to other healing arts which often offer fleeting fixes that temporarily dissipate the pain, without fixing the source problem. Christie’s bed-side manner is exceptional; his therapy, life-changing.
About Wells Christie
A native of Fulton, New York, Wells Christie is a New York State licensed and Nationally Board Certified Massage Therapist, and a Nationally Certified Rolfer™; Specialist in Rolfing® Structural Integration and Rolf Movement®.
He is an alum of the Finger Lakes School of Massage, the Rolf Institute® of Structural Integration, Duke University; cum laude with a B.A. in Music and English Literature, and the Boston School of Electronic Music.
Among other notable achievements, following college, he went on to have ‘storied’ career in the music business as music producer and hired gun to many music industry stars.
Introduced to Buddhist meditation in 1983, Christie has been an active member of the Shambhala Buddhist community ever since.
He is active in numerous organizations, including American Society of Dowsers, Energy Healing Partners, Rolf Institute® of Structural Integration, and Shambhala International.
